Overscheduling?
Our kids are busier than ever - between playdates, school, classes, birthday parties - they are overscheduled and exhausted.
Get Morning Moving!
Are your little ones EXTRA slow in the morning? It’s not on purpose, but purely a result of them not understanding time. Here are some tips on how to avoid stressing them out, and get them to move to your pace.
Your Strong Willed Child
Strong willed children are also HIGHLY sensitive children. And there is an art in how to work WITH them so they work with you. Give them a sense of control, involve them in your plans, and let them know what’s coming up -and you’ll get smooth cooperation from your strong willed child.
Resolving One Word Answers
There is a way to get around getting one word answers from your kid. Imagine them sharing about their day, freely, and openly. All you need to do is ask the right questions to ‘unlock’ them.
School Focus
Physical activity promotes focus. But physical activity that requires decision making, such as team sports, martial arts or parkour classes enhance focus and concentration overall.
After school Meltdowns
After school meltdowns are not bad. In fact, it’s a healthy sign of your child feeling safe enough to release all the tension they’ve stored inside all day while at school. So create a nurturing space for them to release it.
Back To School Routine
Heading back to school means setting up that routine and consistency into their schedule! This sets them up for success. Check out 3 full-proof ways to establish a smooth ‘back to school’ transition.
Building Confidence
Building our children’s confidence is key to ensuring they’re set up for success in the future! By empowering them with positive feedback, comments (that they can overhear), you’re giving them a profound boost of confidence. Let’s work together through our ‘I AM’ campaign to empower our children, encourage their self-esteem and self-love, and reinforce confidence in all of their extraordinary abilities.
Extracurricular Sports
Starting the new school year season means signing up for extracurricular sports. But how do you know which ones are good for them? And most importantly, how do you prevent extracurriculars from taking over your life.
New School Year Anxiety
During this time, it’s normal for new school year anxieties to start creeping in. New school, new friends, new teachers, rules, homework - there are a lot of factors that can bring about these stresses. Talk to your children, and set them up into a normal routine to help them start regulating their fears.
Travelling With Kids
Traveling with kids - it takes some serious planning and patience. It’s not easy to navigate an airport with a little one, or sit on a flight. But we have 3 easy tips to help you get through these stressful moments and allow you to enjoy the rest of your vacation.

To Camp? Or not to Camp?: 10 Benefits of Summer Camp
It occupies our minds, interrupts our days, and takes over our summer: what to do with the kids during summer and school breaks?!? It's that time of the year when we, as parents, are tasked with the responsibility of deciding how the kids are going to spend their freetime during the summer. Some parents see summer as a time to play, have fun, and be active. Others believe it is time for kids to hone their studies and learn new skills. Kidnasium says IT'S TIME FOR BOTH!

ALL KIDS, ALL THE TIME
If you have been following us on Facebook and Instagram over the past few months, you might have noticed our Topic Talk posts on Thursdays. Well they have been gaining more and more interest and we have decided it was about time that we create a BLOG!
Welcome to KiD TaLk! Where it's all kids, all the time.
Our goal with the blog, much like Topic Talk, is to discuss all things kids and parenting. Whether we are talking about a problem that we are having at home, or giving tips and tricks to solve a problem others are having, we will lay it all out there - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Parenting is hard, but you're not alone. Your kid threw a tantrum in the middle of the grocery store? You're not alone. You slipped up and cursed in front of your toddler and now that's their favourite word? You're not alone. Too often we see parents suffering in silence - feeling embarrassed to talk about the difficult stuff. Well, we are here to say - let's talk. Parenting is hard enough without feeling like you can't ask for help, express your frustrations, and get advice. It truly takes a village to raise our children. Let Kidnasium and Kid Talk be part of your village.
Like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to be the first to know when new blogs are posted. We might even be recruiting the occasional parent to post from their own unique point of view. The Team at Kidnasium is so excited to start this new journey with you.
