Getting back into the rhythm of school is never easy - not for parents, and not for kids. Here are 3 full-proof ways to get back into routine:
Get back to bedtime! If you haven’t already done so, start pulling back your child’s bedtime each day by 15-20 min until your child is back to getting sufficient sleep for the next school day.
Limit sugar intake. Now that ice cream season is coming to an end, it’s time to start monitoring their sugar intake. This will not only help them get to sleep at their normal bedtime hour, but will also help their brains rest and body detox overnight.
Consistency is key - whatever other practices you’ll bring back into your yearly routine, try to keep the days consistent. This will allow kids to maintain a normal schedule, know what to expect and not get thrown off track.
