International Childrens Day

This past Saturday we celebrated International Children’s Day at Kidnasium. International Children’s day is a day we celebrate and protect children’s rights, access to education, and their right to have a happy and healthy childhood.

While International children’s Day should be every day, we wholeheartedly believe that children’s right to build a safe, stable future for themselves through access to education should be an everyday celebration.

And education means more than just going to school because learning and growth takes place outside the school, as much, if not more, than inside a school.

At Kidnasium, we teach children through play and physical movement many life skills we hope they take with them into the future. We teach them cooperation, working together as a team, listening to instructions and coaches, taking and implementing feedback, body awareness, and that physical movement helps regulate their wellbeing.

On a grander and more long-term scale, extracurricular activities cultivate leadership skills, time management skills, promote networking skills, fosters their confidence and ultimately, it leads to increased academic performance.

So let’s celebrate International Children’s Day every day and continue to support our children in building their future.
