Benefits of Positive Affirmations

While it is important for us, as parents, to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our children full of support, encouragement, and love, it is equally as important for us to teach our little ones how to create these positive feelings within themselves. It is incredibly empowering for a child to be able to create their own thoughts and feelings of self-worth and self-belief. This ability, mastered as a child, can contribute to a much smoother transition to adulthood and a more well-adjusted young adult.

As children grow and learn to wire their brains to read and write, positive affirmations can help wire their brains to practice positive self talk in their everyday life. Negative thoughts creep in every now and again, whether internally or from our outside environment. We wouldn't leave our kids without the tools they need to support themselves financially, so why should their ability to support themselves emotionally be any different? Affirmations and other positive phrases are a powerful and holistic way to ensure that children have the tools they need to maintain a healthy and happy relationship with themselves and those around them for life.
