Classes
-
These independent classes provide a safe environment to learn beginner gymnastics skills like front rolls, back rolls, handstand and cartwheel progressions, inverted hangs on bars, locomotions and jumps on balance beams. Coaches rely on imagery and verbal repetition to teach and correct skills. We believe that making the class fun and using words and phrases that are memorable will make it easier for children to learn new skills. Kidnasium’s ideal learning environment teaches FUN-damentals by focusing on landings, static positions, locomotions, rotations, springs and swings. By breaking the skills down into fun progressions, we are allowing children to experience success, which will build motivation and self-confidence.
Sample Beginner Gymnastics Skills: Rolls (log, front and back), swings, locomotion (front, back, side etc.) on floor and balance beam, safe landings, and handstand progressions, springs and rebounds, turns, and inverted elements (spotted).

Our Swimmers program is one of a kind. It is a graduated program designed to build confidence in our participants in their early to advance stages of development. Participants can easily learn how to swim by first mastering the Fundamentals. Once these skills have been achieved learning strokes become much simpler. Our levels are broken up into progressions and steps to learning frontcrawl, backcrawl, breaststroke and butterfly. Once these are mastered we move on to technique and then endurance. These programs also teach diving, treading, safety and basic first aid. Our levels can be completed in group, semi private or private classes. There are 6 levels in our Swimmers Program that teaches children to become skilled and confident swimmers.

This caregiver and tot program provides an active environment for children to explore gross and fine motor movement patterns and exploratory play. The class will consist of musical circle activities, highlight stations of the week, and free exploration. Instructors will introduce a new skill every one to two weeks (to increase repetition and familiarity for the parent/caregiver and child). Coaches will show each parent/caregiver how different areas of the gym can be used to develop the skill of the week.
Sample Elementary Movement Skills: Standing stations, cruising stations, log rolls, front rolls (spotted), swings (spotted), and a multitude of stations to develop fine and gross motor skills. Please note that this is not a formal follow the leader class, however, we do teach stations to educate parents and caregivers about introductory movement skills and how to safely navigate the gym.
Independent Little Gymnasts and Lil’ Gymnasts Caregiver and Tot classes are also available.
