Speaking To Your Kids About Culture & Diversity

Speaking to your kids about culture & diversity is critical to preparing them to live in a diverse world and be aware of biases towards others who may seem "different" to them. Children typically have an innate sense of right and wrong but it's essential for parents to teach them how to discuss culture & diversity with empathy and tact. As soon as children begin to be aware of the differences around them, they will start to ask questions- use these moments as opportunities to have thoughtful discussions and encourage their questions.

ALL KIDS, ALL THE TIME

If you have been following us on Facebook and Instagram over the past few months, you might have noticed our Topic Talk posts on Thursdays. Well they have been gaining more and more interest and we have decided it was about time that we create a BLOG!

Welcome to KiD TaLk! Where it's all kids, all the time.

Our goal with the blog, much like Topic Talk, is to discuss all things kids and parenting. Whether we are talking about a problem that we are having at home, or giving tips and tricks to solve a problem others are having, we will lay it all out there - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Parenting is hard, but you're not alone. Your kid threw a tantrum in the middle of the grocery store? You're not alone. You slipped up and cursed in front of your toddler and now that's their favourite word? You're not alone. Too often we see parents suffering in silence - feeling embarrassed to talk about the difficult stuff. Well, we are here to say - let's talk. Parenting is hard enough without feeling like you can't ask for help, express your frustrations, and get advice. It truly takes a village to raise our children. Let Kidnasium and Kid Talk be part of your village.
Like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to be the first to know when new blogs are posted. We might even be recruiting the occasional parent to post from their own unique point of view. The Team at Kidnasium is so excited to start this new journey with you.
