Please Note: If you are looking for gymnastics programs for children under the age of 2 years old it will fall within our fitness academy (motor education program).

Recreational Programs

Lil Gymnasts Caregiver & Tot 2 - 4 years:

This caregiver and tot program provides an active environment for children to explore gross and fine motor skills, and to learn elementary gymnastics skills.

The classes introduce listening and follow the leader stations to help prepare children to attend class independently. Class is divided into structured gymnastics circuits, free exploration time, and circle time. At this age, coaches focus on introducing gymnastics shape elements, as well as fundamental movement patterns, cognitive and social skills. We typically teach the same lesson for two weeks, with minor changes, as it helps children (and parents) remember the skills.

Sample Elementary Gymnastics Skills: Rolls (log, front and back), swings, locomotion (front, back, side etc.) on floor and balance beam, safe landings, and
handstand progressions, springs and rebounds, turns, and inverted elements (spotted).

Lil Gymnasts 3 - 4.5 years:

Classes provide a safe environment to learn basic gymnastics skills like front rolls, back rolls, handstand and cartwheel progressions, inverted hangs on bars, locomotions and jumps on balance beams. Coaches rely on imagery and verbal repetition to teach and correct skills. We believe that making the class fun and using words and phrases that are memorable will make it easier for children to learn the skills. We are teaching FUN-damentals every step of the way – focusing on landings, static positions, locomotions, rotations, springs and swings. By breaking the skills down into fun progressions, we are allowing children to experience success, which will build motivation and self-confidence.

Gymnasts 4 - 6 years:

Classes provide a positive and motivating environment to learn beginner gymnastics skills, develop strength and coordination.  Sample skills that would be taught would be: front rolls, back rolls, handstands, cartwheels, swings and inverted hangs on bars, and different locomotions, jumps, and introductory rotational skills on balance beams.
