The Kinesthetic Learning Program engages, excites and educates students in reading, writing and math. Our best learning and understanding is done through concrete, tactile experiences, practical activities and then applying this knowledge to real-life problems.
How the Kinesthetic Learning Program works:
Introduce topics and ideas using physical objects and movement. This could be the use of props and actions in drama to ignite writing ideas or grouping popsicle sticks to understand the concept of number.
Through practical activities, children learn skills based on their concrete understanding of a topic. For example, students may be asked to add an adjective to describe the props they have in their drama activity or in math, they may begin to add the popsicle sticks and record their sum.
In this final step, students apply their knowledge in their own way to questions, challenges or problems posed to them.
This unique way of teaching and learning guides children to master the skills they need to be active, independent learners and build a solid foundation for academic success.
